Brandy Hehn is alive today because people donated their organs.

The Regina woman is a two-time organ transplant recipient. As a teen, she was diagnosed with a rare liver disease. In 2009, she received a liver transplant from a deceased donor.

Then her kidneys failed. She needed dialysis to do the job her kidneys couldn’t do.

In 2020, she was put on the transplant list. She only had to wait a few months for a new kidney.

Was it luck? Ms. Hehn doesn’t think so. She believes it was the “Logan Boulet Effect.”
