Do you have a little library in your neighbourhood? These little book cupboards are usually mounted on a post near the sidewalk. The door faces the street, so people walking by can browse for a new book. If they find a book they like, they leave one of their own behind to replace it.

You’ll find little libraries on residential streets across the country. They’re meant to foster a love of reading.

But in early February, Ottawa residents made an alarming discovery. Several little libraries had been stocked with books that promote racist, white-nationalist dogma.
