The sky isn’t falling, but debris from space is.

In May, a Saskatchewan farmer spotted something in his fields. At first, he thought it was garbage. Then he took a closer look.

Solving a mystery

A 1.2 metre-by-1.8 metre piece of twisted and burnt metal was sitting in his field. It looked like it came from space. Neighbouring farmers began finding the same mysterious debris in their fields.

Where did this debris come from? It’s likely part of a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft that returned from the International Space Station (ISS) in February.
